Subject: FLOODING/GLOUCESTER CITY
Good Morning Gentlemen,
At our Council Meeting on Thursday evening, we had several residents from Hudson and King Street show up who were very upset and emotional about the increased flooding at King and Hudson Street in Gloucester City. They said the water is fast approaching their front doors, and soon could make it into their living rooms. They threatened to take legal action against the City/County.
They also advised us that they would contact/show up at a Freeholder meeting to express their dissatisfaction with the lack of assistance the County has provided to these flooding issues. (a resident also complained about Jersey Avenue, and also Market Street)
WE told the residents we would reach out and set up a meeting with them, the City, and the County. I think we also need someone from the CCMUA there as them closing their floodgates has a major impact on Gloucester City.
Sam, can you set something up and also ask Ian his availability to make this meeting.
I believe we are at a point that we need to show some action as to some of these problems in Gloucester City.
They were also complaining about the Gloucester/Brooklawn Bridge, the sinking at 6th and Jersey, and Crosswalks needing painting on Nicholson Road.
I appreciate your help and concern in these matters. I really do not like when citizens bang the County, that’s why we are trying to be proactive and deal with these issues.
Thank you for your assistance, and please let me know when we can set this meeting up.
Dan Spencer

Good Afternoon All,
I alerted Jack Lipsett, City Administrator of this date and time.
He will reserve the Conference Room at City Hall, 313 Monmouth Street.
He will also notify the neighbors.
Thank you all for being so prompt with a response and setting a date.
Much appreciated!
