They still haven't sold the ones at Chatham Square.
Gloucester City Councilman John Hutchinson (D) calls the recent state comptrollers report politically motivated, saying it was based on politics as defense as to why Gloucester City still has Public Defender Charles Wigginton and Prosecutor Paul Dougherty enrolled in PERS. (Public Employee Pension)
Do you think the Comptroller's office will like this?
Maybe someone should investigate Councilman Hutchinson who was elected to represent the first ward of Gloucester City, uses the address of the city's towing contractor as his place of residence but lives next door to Councilman Nicholas Marchese (D-2nd Ward).
Wasn't Wigginton removed from PERS from Haddon Township?
How much is this costing taxpayers in Gloucester City?
Isn't Dougherty a Commissioner in Haddon Township?
I guess he's another Norcrat, do as I say not as I do.
I think is great that Mayor James (retired Gloucester Deputy Police Chief) took a stand to protect his brother police officers, but as Mayor of Gloucester City I feel he should of attended the meeting to keep up to date on this on going mess that the county has created.
As an elected official it is his duty to look out for the residents of the city of Gloucester.
View link below for full story - Gloucester City Mayor James Should of attended the meeting and asked some questions on behalf of the residents of Gloucester City.
Gloucester City & Camden County The Truth received the below documents from open government activist John Schmidt regarding the Pennsuaken Housing Authority. Our question is will DCA or HUD step in??? Schmidt is also a Housing Authority Commissioner in Clementon. Earlier this year Schmidt sent a letter to Mayor John Kneib (D), regarding officials who were illegally serving in various positions. As a result Housing Authority Commissioner Elwood Martz and Oren Lutz are no longer on the housing Authority.http://www.pennsaukengop.com/Illegal_ltr_April_2012.pdf.
Below is the responses to the OPRA requests and a letter Schmidt sent to Kneib.
Hon. John Kneib, Mayor
Pennsauken Township
5605 North Crescent Boulevard
Pennsauken, NJ 08110 (Via E-Mail Only)
Dear Mayor Kneib,
I am writing this letter concerning the Pennsauken Housing
Authority. I am hoping that by writing this letter I can work with
you to address my concerns to ensure the Housing Authority is
in compliance with all relevant laws under NJSA 40A:12A. Instead
of writing a full letter I have decided to use notes on each
concern.
Concern 1:
-As part of a recent OPRA request, I obtained copies of the Roster of
commissioners which is sent to DCA each year. My concern is that all
members on the board are currently appointed by the Governing Body
of Pennsauken. Under NJSA 40A:12A-17, a housing authority is
comprised of seven members. One is appointed by the state, one by
the mayor and five by the Governing Body. Currently, six commissioners
have been appointed by the Township Committee which is not proper.
The Township Committee only makes five appointments and the Mayor makes one.
Concern 2:
-Under NJSA 40A:12A-18, a Housing Authority Commissioner “shall”
appoint an executive director. The requirements an executive
director must have are laid out in 40A:12A-18 and 40A:12A-18.1.
Currently the Authority does not have an executive director
as is required.
Concern3:
-First, allow me to say that I understand the Pennsauken Housing
Authority only deals with Section 8 and is not a PHA but regardless
is still a Housing Authority and governed by applicable state and
federal laws. Under law, each Housing Authority Commissioner must
complete a series of required and elective courses. Housing Authority
commissioners must complete four required courses and one elective
course within 18 months of taking office. If a commissioner fails to
complete the training requirement they are ineligible to serve. The
courses are run through Rutgers University.[1] Commissioner Ellis
was first appointed on January 1, 2011. Commissioner Cuzzupe was
appointed on January 4, 2010 and Commissioner Pilla was appointed
on January 4, 2009. From the response to my OPRA request and after
speaking to the Housing Authority’s Manager it appears that neither
three commissioners took any classes and therefore are no longer on
the Housing Authority as a matter of law. As a result of this the Housing
Authority lacks four members as needed for a quorum under state law.
I would hope that the Township would address this issue. If you
have any questions please feel free to call me at (redacted phone #).
A lot has been said and written about lately regarding the Norcrat plan for a County Police Force. You have to ask yourselves why do they dislike our Police Officers so much? Sure there are those officers who don’t belong in uniform but the majority of our police officers are good and decent public servants. Below is a document in response to an OPRA request from the Borough of Lindenwold which Gloucester City & Camden County The Truth received. It details the unsafe working conditions which Lindenwold Police Officers had to work in.
It also raises questions did any officers become sick?
Does Lindenwold Mayor and Council This Is Acceptable?
Aren't the Police Officers in Lindenwold Overoworked As It Is? What About Code Enfocement?
Wasn't John Greer the Old Code Enforcement Officer? This Seems To Be Getting Interesting?
Did Former Solicitor John Kearney of Lindenwold and Pine Hill (Where Greer Works) Involved In Some Way Possibly?
LINDENWOLD — A husband and wife have sued a longtime councilman here claiming he will not stop harassing them because they are an interracial couple.
Alfred and Deborah Patterson allege Councilman Joseph Strippoli has racially discriminated against them since they moved into their Elm Avenue home in 2003.
The suit accuses Strippoli of using his power as a government official to single out the couple by calling police to their home an estimated 17 times and accusing them of violating township code on more than 15 occasions.
The calls range from noise complaints to violations for having a basketball hoop on their curb.
The lawsuit asserts due to the “indifference” and “reckless nature” of Strippoli’s harassment the Patterson family is seeking punitive damages in the amount of $100,000.
The legal representative for the borough, Salvatore Siciliano, did not return calls for comment. The Pattersons also gave no comment.
According to the lawsuit, Strippoli’s home on Linden Avenue has a direct view of the Patterson’s backyard. He is accused of asking Deborah Patterson “why she had to go and marry someone like her husband,” who is African American.
“The constant harassment, discrimination, intimidation, and selective enforcement have become so bad that the plaintiffs are afraid to use their back yard,” the lawsuit states.
Thomas Bruno, the Patterson’s attorney, said the harassment of their clients has accelerated over the last year.
“They just want this harassment to stop,” said Bruno. “Whatever they try to do to ameliorate or appease the borough, they keep moving the goal post.”
According to the lawsuit, this year Strippoli had code enforcement officials sent to the Patterson home five times, including once for noise caused by a weed whacker. The Patterson family has also been cited twice for the basketball hoop violation.
“Five other non-interracial homes in the plaintiff’s neighborhood currently have basketball hoops on the curb and have never been cited for a violation,” the lawsuit states.
Stripploli has also allegedly tried to change borough ordinances for “the express purpose of causing more violations” against the Patterson family.
The lawsuit states Strippoli attempted to prevent Alfred Patterson from conducting a business from his house, which included selling used items that he stores in a trailer.
“The ongoing racial discrimination and intimidation has become so bad that the borough code enforcement and Lindenwold police officers are refusing to do Councilman Strippoli’s bidding and go out to the Patterson’s home,” according to the lawsuit.
Some have even been threatened with expulsion or discipline if they do not go out to the home, the lawsuit states.
Bruno said that in court they plan to present witnesses, such as former officials and employees of the borough, who can attest to Strippoli’s exploitation of power.
“They have to deal with the bureaucracy of the borough and the abuse of authority and their only recourse is the court system,” said Bruno. “It has become more and more frustrating for them to be able to do the right thing.”
Strippoli is a retired bowling proprietor and was mayor of Lindenwold from 1988 to 1991. He was re-elected to council in 1999.
Last night the Freeholders ignored residents, government activists and public officials and passed two resolutions which is the start of a Camden Co. Police Department. As a result it would eliminate the Camden City Police Department. Everyone needs to wake up becuase our towns are next from Gloucester City to Gloucester Towsnhip and from Cherry Hill to Lindenwold. George Norcross doen't care about the residents of this county. Only himself. Stand up NOW to protect your local LEO's. We already have a county police force, the Sheriff's Department. Do we really need another?

I did several OPRA request to obtain documents showing complaints and/or reports in regards to the Fishing Ban on Freedom Pier. My request came back with no records found. SURPRISE
