Gloucester is Paying for Lourdes EMS Fuel and Housing But Still Has Not Received a Dime from the Company

Gloucester contracted with Lourdes EMS to take over the EMS service from the Fire Dept , This was done to cut tax payer cost.

To date Gloucester has not seen any payments from this company , but continues to pay for fuel and housing . Mayor and Council promised that this would be a great benefit to the city of Gloucester. I ask how?  The city collected hundreds of thousands of dollars a year from this service in the past and now we see nothing , I ask where is this money going?

I will be posting the fuel logs that were provided to us per an OPRA request.

Gloucester City Mayor & Council Never Seem to have the Answers - WHY???

Why is it that whenever Mayor and Council are asked Important questions about Gloucester City they state "We are working on it" or "We are looking in to it"?  The reason is not that hard to figure out,  just look what they have done or "Not Done" in the years that they have been in office. They make these statements because they lack the skills needed to run this city. 

We have seen some big failures since they have been in office, just drive by Chatham Square on Rt 130 ( Millions of taxpayer money spent), the sail boat at Freedom Pier or the compost plant that will be built Water St. ( They didn't tell the residents that they may have a large gas pipe running from that plant to the CCMUA in Camden did they, not to mention all the added truck traffic.) The compost plant may sell gas to the CCMUA and The lose of the City run EMS. The list goes on and on.

I read that they are moving forward with the "bar phase" of Freedom Pier and just recently another bar closed its doors. ( Just blocks from new bar) Yet they are committed on pushing forward with this project at the taxpayers expense.

I guess when you have the checkbook and no one to stop you; then you can spend at will.

The proof is on this Blog all you have to do is read it.

   

Gloucester City Ambulance

At around 7:30pm on 12/5/11 I was in the area of the Audubon shopping center on the Blackhorse Pike, when I heard a siren coming from an ambulance.  They made an illegal turn from the Blackhorse Pike onto Nicholson Rd. towards Gloucester City. As they turned illegally causing traffic to scramble, I took notice to the name on the side of the ambulance, it was Lourdes " Gloucester City's old ambulance"

When I worked for the Gloucester City Fire Dept "which ran the ambulance" we were bashed by Mayor, council and even some residents of Gloucester City for running  to the food store in Brooklawn,  with the ambulance to pick up food for the 24 hour shift.

When the ambulance was on calls or even 4 minutes away, we backed them up with the fire dept "all were qualified EMTs" This is not the case many of times now as the EMS is separate and can come and go as they please. They are no longer under the watchful eyes of the fire dept shift commander.

Gloucester City tax payers pay for fuel for these ambulances, they are here for the residents of Gloucester City.
