Kearney, served as Solicitor of the Borough of Pine Hill for over fifteen years. Last year he was fired as the Solicitor of the Borough of Lindenwold. If towns are getting rid of him, why does Gloucester City keep him?
On November 21st, at the monthly council meeting Pine Hill bonded $210,000 (10,000 for the cost of the bond) to settle the Grieco case which has been ongoing for over two years. In addition Pine Hill is still working on notifying countless individuals whose social security numbers and other personal information was released as part of an OPRA request. Gloucester City & Camden County The Truth previously reported on the case involving Pine Hill LEO Paul Grieco, a 18 year veteran of the Police department and the Borough of Pine Hill. Pine Hill had terminated Grieco but in July of this year Camden County Superior Court Judge Louis Meloni ordered Grieco back to work. Included in Meloni’s order was an order for the Borough to pay Grieco his back pay. Grieco was out of work for almost two years and is owed a six figure sum by the Borough. However the Borough of Pine Hill refuses to pay him his back pay and so far have ignored a Superior Court order.
When is Enough, Enough? Who is advising the Borough to ignore a Superior Court Order….Special Counsel Todd Gelfand or Borough Solicitor John Kearney?
Ethics complaints have been filed against Pine Hill Council President Christopher Green and Pine Hill Councilman Charles Warrington for holding incompatible offices. The Pine Hill Councilmembers are also elected members of Pine Hill Fire District #1 Board of Fire Commissioners. Warrington (D) is also the Public Safety Director of Pine Hill and Green (D), who serves as council president is the Democrat Party's nominee for Mayor in the 2011 November elections.
The Borough of Pine Hill provides employees with Aetna Health Insurance; however when purchasing prescription drugs they cannot use their Aetna card but rather are provided with an Express Scripts card when filling prescriptions. However employees receive a reimbursement check from Aetna which must be turned over to the Borough of Pine Hill and they only receive reimbursement for prescriptions if they have prescriptions filled at Rite Aid pharmacy. As a result of recent OPRA requests filed in Pine Hill, there is no agreement or contract in writing with Rite Aid. When an OPRA was put in for the contract or agrement with Rite Aide the response was none exists and there is not a written contract or agrement. Pine Hill provided the following letter.
Is this legal?
What is going on?
How can a major corporation like Rite Aid just have a verbal agreement?
Earlier this year Harvest Market Missionary Ministries filed suit in U.S.District Court against the Borough of Pine Hill for not allowing the organization to gather for worship services. After filing in court the group reached a settlement agreement but not before John “Whips and Chains” Kearney got more taxpayers money.
Councilman Leslie Gallagher, Councilman Tom Knott, Councilman Stephen Shultz, Police Chief Ken Chessman, Deputy Clerk/Finance Clerk Patricia Hendricks and Special Counsel Todd Gelfand.
The people came out to support Police Officer Paul Grieco, a 17 year veteran of the Department who was ordered back to work by Superior Court. Currently Pine Hill is locking Grieco out of work, not paying his two years of backpay & more., in direct violation of Superior Court Judge Louis Meloni.
Pine Hill is also charging Grieco again with charges from the same events that they already charged him before and lost.
Will Judge Meloni be happy to see Pine Hill back in his courtroom?
Hasn't Pine Hill learned?
Didn't they learn from the Taurus Case which they took to the NJ Supreme Court and lost?
Up until the beginning of this year John Kearney served as solicitor of Lindenwold, a job he had for over fifteen years. During his time in Lindenwold he also served as Solicitor of Pine Hill. Below are five shared service agreements with the two Borough’s.
Did Pine Hill and Lindenwold Benefit from This?
OR
Did John Kearney benefit in some way?
Also included in the file are the salaries of some officials including Tom Cardis who holds six public jobs, including being the full time Administrator for Gloucester Township. (He recenly became the Purchasing Agent in Gloucester Township as well). Cardis is the Municipal Clerk in Pine Hill but he only works there on Friday’s.
